de la Magnifique

I have never doubted Oscar de la Renta, however I have never expected a pre-fall collection this boldly, extravagant from him. The colour scheming in this collection blew my mind. From mermaid greens to fuchsia, which then bounded to black-navy blends to the mustard and gold hues! And it goes on to poppy and pastel to metallics and cremes! This collection is undeniable. The knee length hem, and cocktail dresses with woven tweed toreador dinner jackets and the most dignified gowns that will most definitely be seen on red carpets to come. Eyelet, tweed, mesh, faille, beaded, fur, chiffon, feathered, bullion metals, silk, leather, lace fabrics all paired with a truly simple and timeless crimson la bouche EVERY! TIME! Each piece put together with that elaborate poise. Notice the belt cinching on the majority of the looks? I can't get enough! My favourite? The plunging V backs, and the old fashioned neck lines to match the hems.
